Description
Farm stays · 5 Guests · 3 Bedrooms
Ideally situated on the edge of Castlemorton Common and at the foot of the southern Malvern Hills is Grounds Farm. "The Oaks” is a delightful three-bedroom conversion of the former dairy at the property; it delivers spacious and practical accommodation for five guests to enjoy all that the Malvern Hills have to offer. As the name suggests it is surrounded by grand Oak trees that have framed the landscape for hundreds of years. From your doorstep you will find many footpaths and bridleways to access the beautiful countryside; both commons and hills. Minimum stay 3 nights. The cottage is all on ground level, and has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The accommodation comprises: Bedroom 1 - Super King bed. Bedroom 2 - Zip and Link Super king bed/2 x Single beds. (Please let us know which you would prefer before arrival). Bedroom 3 - Small Double bed. Bathroom with bath and separate shower, and heated towel rail. Cloakroom with plenty of space for coats and shoes. Living/Dining area with french doors to garden. Large kitchen with range cooker and dishwasher. Utility room with washer/dryer. Large enclosed garden. Gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. The cottage and grounds are non-smoking. There is parking at your door and we welcome well-behaved dogs (please contact us should you want to bring more than 2). On a clear night looking up at the stars is a truly amazing sight and outside the knocking of Bert and Bertha, the resident woodpeckers, fills the air, alongside the plaintiff bleat of the spring lambs looking for mum after they’ve ventured beyond the usual confines of the flock. The clip and clop of the horses walking to and from the fields to their stables sets a beat for the wind to whistle melodiously through the trees. Who said the country was quiet? - Regardless, a true rural idyll! Nearby, there is all you need to make your stay in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty effortless and enjoyable: Village shop/Post office approximately one mile away. "The Marlbank Inn" public house, which serves excellent food/takeaway, is within reasonable walking distance. Malvern, Ledbury and Upton Upon Severn are all about 10 minutes drive - offering a choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Three Counties Showground is 2.5 miles distant. Eastnor Castle, Malvern Theatres and Elgar Graves are close at hand. The cottage is set in the grounds of our home and it offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. We think it is perfect for walkers, cyclists and just to relax in a beautiful setting and to use as a base to enjoy the area.
