$Here is a place where luxury does not have to come expensive. Just 5 min. from I-35. You sleep in a romantic cottage like suite w/full bed, sleeper futon, personal Jacuzzi, bidet, double sink, smart TV, and balcony. High speed WiFi . The main house is not included but may use shared kitchen and laundry. It's a private Airbnb room in a shared house. If you want 10 * Hotels service this is not your room. But you are welcomed if you appreciate a touch of luxury at an insanely budget price. What is it that you want? A romantic get-away or do you want to feel like on vacation as you pass through or stay for a work assignment in the OKC area. Our house has two parts: There is the original main house with three bedrooms and 1 &1/2 baths that is rented out to permanent roommates. Then there is the 2-level add-on in the back with over 500 square foot each level. You are renting the upstairs room, a romantic sleeping quarters that has nukes for toilet/bidet, Jacuzzi bathtub and two sinks as seen in the photos. Two people may sleep in a full size bed and a futon that turns into a full size bed accommodates another two travelers. Downstairs is a sleeper sofa that unfolds to a queen bed, plus a full size futon and may be used for an additional 4 persons. However, even though secluded from the main house the downstairs area is kinda open (no door yet on the entry way from the main house to the add-on in the back) and you cannot expect 100 % privacy. But a curtain will close off the area and you still get a great comfy place if you just need a place to rest for the night. This was to be my romantic resort & relax stop for the end of a hectic day or weekend. Since I have so little time right now the room was sitting unused for too much. So I opened it up for others to enjoy. The room has all you need to "survive", though you need to keep in mind that the "bathroom facilities" are not in a separate private room. As for now I have placed a curtain to provide a hint of privacy. If you prefer just a shower and want to use a "real" bathroom you may use the downstairs facilities which is "territory" of my permanent roommates. BUT please keep in mind that it is shared by four other people living downstairs and is not officially part of your booked space (but may use at your discretion). I allow you to use the downstairs but PLEASE DO NOT REVIEW the part that is not included in your rental today. My roommates are busy folks and do not keep our house like a museum on a daily basis. Though the house is presentably clean. Please keep this in mind when you visit. If you understand that you rent a room in a SHARED HOME home and NOT in a HOTEL then I invite you to experience relaxation and the feel of vacation after a day of travel or hard work. Book 24/7. You find all Easy Check-In INFO under the HOUSE MANUAL after your booking is completed. While you have plenty of own personal space in your two-story add-on you may stretch out in the entire house . Your room has a TV that you may use to watch over the air programs (no cable) or hook up your personal device to stream over the internet. High speed WiFi is in the house to keep you connected. Kitchen is open to everyone, two refrigerators will hold your food fresh. Washer, laundry soap (inside the cabinet across the washer) and dryer are available for you to use. We have two driveways to park. Often we park behind each other and make ourselves available to move the car if needed. Otherwise there is plenty of room to park on the street in front and across. It is a dead-end street so limited traffic in our area. Disclosure: Very few guests (mainly the ones that needed reminding of paying the extra guest fees) have complaint about some neighbor dogs barking thus de-valuating their stay. But it is quiet during the night and if you keep windows closed it should not deter you from getting a good rest in a peaceful and safe environment, even during day time. Also, others have complained about the neighborhood being "sketchy". Our house is safe and we have friendly neighbors. May be the burned down home is a little upsetting when you enter the neighborhood from the main street of SE 44th. . We had a unusual spring this year with late freezes and, sadly, many homes fell victim to house fires from improper use of space heaters . We are true to the Airbnb motto and open our personal home to the modest traveler who appreciates sleeping in a stylish private place where not all is perfect like in a hotel but where you get added conveniences that even a hotel does not include. Please have read the entire listing before coming here. Our home is not a showroom, WE ARE LIVING HERE and open our doors for you to sleep comfortably at an unbeatable rate. YES, we can do so much more to make it a 10 Start Hotel quality place. But then we would not be able to offer you our place at the cost it comes to you now. Thus, please make sure you are aware you get a PRIVATE AIRBNB here and that if you expect hotel like accommodation and services then my place is not for you. You have easy self check-in and I am just a text message and 15 minutes away and can assist if you need additional help. We live in a quiet neighborhood in a dead-end street thus not much traffic here. There is a small park right across where you can stroll for a walk or run and get your exercise in. We are very centrally located with just 5 minutes going to I-35, I-240, and just 10 minutes gets you to I-40. We have been criticized about no action going on and it would be too far to get food . We live in a residential neighborhood, not in a mall area. Not sure about everyone standard and expectations, but so you know what to expect: Go East for three minutes and you find a Braum's, Taco, gas station, mini strip mall. Go back to I-35 and then going south/west to I-240 of a max 5-8 minutes drive. To either side of the highway you find everything your heart desires (all types of American and International cuisine) and all you need to build a house or to equip your home (Walmart, Lowe's, Home depot, Con's, Best Buy, Ross, ... you name it). We are very centrally located with quick access to highways in all directions: 5 minutes drive to I-35, to I-240 and to I-40. Takes you just 15-20 minutes to get to Norman, 10 minutes to Oklahoma City downtown/Historic Brick town, just 15 minutes to the Oklahoma City World Airport, 10 minutes to Tinker Air force base and about 20 minutes to the Oklahoma State Fair Grounds. Please read the listing description before booking and keep in mind that you book a room in someone's private home. We open our doors for you and share with you our way of living, offering you clean accommodation at budget rates. If you prefer impersonal hotel service at double the rate with bleached everything then we are not your choice. Also, if you cancel a booking within 24 hours (even same day bookings) we will not refund anymore but are happy to change your reservation to any of our other friendly rooms or other dates. In special cases we may issue a refund but apply a $20 service fee. Also: Before you check out, please don't forget what Airbnb is about. Your rooms are part of a private home where people live an active life. It’s not a Ritz hotel nor a beach resort specifically designed for vacationing. We allow you to enter our most private areas so you may enjoy lodging away from over-priced hotels or Inns. At our exorbitant under$30 a night you do not only have your 500 square-food of space but basically get to stay in a complete home. People coming here should know that it is shared with others, and you are invited to stay with us at a rate no hotel can beat and for service that no hotel would match. When you leave from here, please keep this in mind. The ratings are important to us and Airbnb keeps a close eye on it. Many travelers seem to miss the point of Airbnb . They concentrate on what else we should have done or provided and hold us up to the standards of HOTELS that charge at least double.
