Located in a safe community and close to down town Kanab!<br><br>The Space:<br>Our townhome is fully stocked with bathroom essentials (soap, shampoo, paper) kitchen and laundry products! <br><br>The townhome has 3 bedrooms upstairs. The spacious master bedroom has a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom with a garden tub and shower. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed and there are two twin beds in the third guest bedroom. There are night stands, luggage racks and large closets to store all your things.<br><br>If you're working, schooling or entertaining, our ultra-fast fiber optic connected 1GB wifi will keep everyone connected without slowdowns or interruptions.<br><br>We are centrally located to so many things you'll want to see and experience during your vacation. We are just 35 minutes to the east entrance of Zion National Park and Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Bryce Canyon National Park is about 90 minutes to the north along scenic highways and about the same distance to the south to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Whether you are here to visit southern Utah's world-famous national parks, monuments and state parks or volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society, our nation's no-kill largest animal sanctuary, the Wild Rose Country is a perfect basecamp for all your adventures.<br><br>There are several hiking trails you can get to right from our townhome which will take you up to the cliffs overlooking Kanab and into the canyons. Parking is free and you will have 1 dedicated covered parking spot as several other spots directly in front of our unit.<br><br>Guest Access:<br>You will have full access to the townhome and the HOA facilities including the gym, seasonal hot tub, and pool. The pool and hot tub opens for Spring Break (typically the last week of March) and closes on October 1. Spring Break is an estimate because weather must be over 70 degrees for 3 consecutive days before the pool can open. <br><br>Please make sure to put the pool key back in its original place once you are done using it! :) If you lose the pool key it is a $250 fee to replace it. <br><br>Vehicles must be parked in lined spaces and within those lines. Several complaints have been received that vehicles are occupying two or more stalls, parking is occurring in undesignated areas (areas that are not lined for parkign stalls) etc. We ask that guests and residents park in the designated spaces properly to allow parking for everyone. Zip's Towing will be tagging vehicles that are parked inappropriately for possible towing if the parking violation is not corrected in a timely manner.<br>Thank you for your cooperation!<br><br>The Neighborhood:<br>Note: Most GPS Systems will not take you to the correct address. Get around in town mostly via car.<br><br>Other Things to Note:<br>Pool Closed: October 31 - Spring 2022<br><br>The El Pueblo pool will officially open on April 8, 2022. However, the pool will be available beginning Friday, April 1, 2022, without heat. Frontier Movie Town and Old Paria are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Temple of Sinawava Trail and Peek-A-Boo Gulch. Discover the area's water adventures with rafting and fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with rock climbing and hiking. <br> This recently built casita is located in a quiet neighborhood just 3 miles from Kanab city center. It has a mini kitchen with ample counter space. The kitchen also includes a mini-fridge, two burner stove, toaster oven, microwave and coffee maker. The casita has one king size bed. It has an outdoor table and seating at the kitchen counter. There is also a walk-in-closet with plenty of storage space. The casita is on the lower level of the home of the owners and has its own entrance. The owners live upstairs and although they are very respectful of their guests, footsteps are audible. They recently adopted two puppies and you may hear the pitter patter of little feet. The puppies do not bark often but if you hear barking look outside and you may see a herd of deer in the yard! It is a short walk to dinosaur tracks and hiking trails. <br><br>Disclosure: We did install a motion activated video doorbell. It is on the house not on the casita.")

Owner lives on the property in a house nearby. Guests will have the opportunity to hike all over in 40 acres of private land. Up the canyon certain times of the year, there is nice spring. Lots of deer trails to follow as well. Please keep in mind that there are cows on the property certain times of the year, mainly Spring time (May-July) Please be aware that if we get a lot of rain, sometimes the dips/washes are unpassable so please don't attempt to drive a car through there until the flooding stops and the dips/washes are cleared out.<br><br>There is plenty to do with the state and national parks nearby, but, if you are looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in this house book; Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splashpad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours for<br>donations only; consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your time at Bryce, Zion, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, or Sand Dunes far more productive, and relaxing; many of them will pick up early in the morning from Kanab.<br><br>Getting Around:<br>We have convenient access to Hwy 89 for trips to Lake Powell, Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon National Parks. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is just 10 minutes north of us.<br><br>Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around and we do recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.<br>This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Park, Lake Powell and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Get to the Southwest and get the full southwest - experience in an adobe style brand new built guest studio. Guests appreciate the guest house's quiet location. <br> You’ll love our home because it is the ideal place to recharge and rejuvenate, a sanctuary right in the heart of nature, yet still in town. You'll enjoy the coziness, views and the classic vintage feel. Our place is good for couples, adventurers, writers and artists, business travelers, and families with kids. We are close to multiple national and state parks, the library, local hiking trails, the city pool and town park, restaurants and dining, and many family-friendly activities. We have created our space to be a peaceful spot filled with natures beauty right out your backdoor. We invite you to enjoy the stillness after the bustle of your days busy exploring.<br><br>We are a block away from a great hiking trail. The Squaw Trail is a great morning or evening hike to catch the sunrise or sunset and is a great place to pause & reflect as it overlooks the town. The same trailhead also provides access to a great singletrack mountain biking trail that runs through the box canyon right behind our house. Being so close to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and all the amazing national and state parks is a real treat. Our space is peaceful and in a great location. Truly a battery recharger.<br><br>The rental unit is the lower half of our split-level home with a private entrance down a few steps on the left side (when facing it from the street). We occupy the upper half and may be there during your visit but we also travel a lot and may not be around. We really hope you enjoy the space and look forward to your stay with us.<br><br>Please be aware that we have dogs on property. Dogs bark, so if you are easily annoyed by barking dogs this may not be the right spot for you.<br><br>We now offer an easy-to-use electric barbecue grill and a shaded picnic table.<br><br>Please note that we currently do provide free wifi!<br>Access will be given in welcome message. <br><br>We are an energy-conscious household and as such our water heater powers off during peak (expensive) times which are 6 to 11 AM from October through March, and 4 to 10 PM from April through September. That said, it’s a 50 gallon tank which is generally adequate for multiple showers. If more hot water is needed during those times you can easily turn on the manual switch next to the hot water heater in the laundry room.<br><br>The TV is newly added so please ask if you have any questions. There is no cable or local channels but there are apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. (you’ll need to use your own accounts) plus a free movie app. Be sure to log out of any of your accounts before you leave.<br><br>When checking out, please lock the door and turn the thermostat off. <br>")

Located conveniently within the Grand Circle of Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon National Parks, this guest house is just 2 miles from downtown Kanab.
